Ted Kennedy had a significant connection with such laws as: the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Voting rights Act of 1965, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Medicare, and MedicAid. The art work, one depicting a man with a hammer, and another showing a farmer with a scythe, are actually the hammer and sickle of the Soviet Union.
At Thanksgiving, we had a grand visit with most of our Western family when we flew to Carol and Phil’s home in Reno. The others caravanned in from south and north for the feast. Fourteen of us surrounded the extended table, and the three under-five grandgirls had their own table in Elena’s bedroom. The event was capped by a Thanksgiving-night snowstorm that slowed homeward bound travelers a couple of days later. As you see by our card (the picture of the house), we have had snow here also, and though a cold rain has washed it away already, we must watch for ice. The mornings are brisk for Dorothy’s daily walk. Paton has joined the SAR, and we meet monthly with a friendly group of descendants of Revolutionary War patriots. We love being close to Heather and Chris and their family. They give us lots of support and Dorothy shares shopping expeditions with her. Now, Happy New Year to All

Although the shuttle mission to the Space Station was a big success, it did have one notable failure. One of the space station toilets broke down. With 13 astronauts on board, you could definitely say, “Houston, we have a problem!” |
Welcome
